Hi, and thank you for visiting my website.
Have a browse & discover how talking, & canine-assisted therapy, can work for you.
Embark Exeter is a space based on nurture. By focusing on emotional well-being, natural realignment and positive performance, Ted and I create a space for you to explore your emotions in a way that feels safe and trusting. My aim is to foster a sense of validation. In my work with you, I will listen, enquire, challenge and suggest, to help you explore your world.
Canine-assisted therapy is unique. Rooted in the unconditional bond between humans and dogs, the technique is designed to make individuals feel relaxed, fostering a supportive environment where therapy can be undertaken with trust. Aided by the affection felt by having Ted close by as a companion, the approach stimulates an experience that’s richly calming, creating a space from which natural healing and growth can begin.
I have a story, like you. My own experiences have taught me a lot about resilience, growth and change, enabling me to understand the development process and provide a counselling service that’s responsive, receptive and rooted in awareness. I’m dedicated to using my awareness of healing, and what can aid and enrich it, to help you, creating a tactile and sensory experience that enhances the way you feel.
My approach is centred on deeply communicative methods. My commitment is to guide clients towards change, empowering them to navigate their complexities with resilience. Through my strategies, I aim to employ tactics that are deeply self-nurturing, providing you with a support network you can adapt for yourself. I work constructively, actively helping you to develop the way you think, feel and make choices. I provide an environment that’s rich in balance, harmony, equality and trust, valuing the empowerment, healing and personal growth that the counselling relationship can bring.
I concentrate on using canine-assisted therapy to provide individuals with the opportunity to gain self-awareness and insight into their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Contact me directly to organise your first session with a distinguished counsellor, delivered from a professional centre in the heart of Exeter.

As a fully qualified and insured counsellor, I offer integrated counselling in Exeter, with my training firmly in person-centred therapy. I am non-judgemental (often referred to as unconditional personal regard), honest and empathetic. These are the roots from which natural healing and personal growth can begin, and continue to, flourish from.
I also have an interest in existentialism, polyvagal, psychodynamic and transactional analysis approaches, as well as canine-assisted therapy.
I am an accredited member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and have several years’ experience working with a range of clients, from the age of 16 years and above.
If you have any questions about my canine-assisted therapy and counselling services, please get in touch with me so we can talk.
